How does this calculator work?
This tool estimates the optimal TV screen size based on your viewing distance, desired resolution, and number of viewers. Sitting closer with a higher-resolution TV allows for a larger screen without visible pixelation — so a 4K TV can be enjoyed at closer distances than a Standard-definition one.
Keep in mind: the same size TV can be watched from a greater distance, but fine detail will start to fade as you move further away from the screen.
